My Take on the lyrics: I like the lyrics, it's like finding someone that will/can save during the time of your weakness. We all experience frustrations, failed dreams, sadness, feeling of being alone, pain and more - this emotions unleash our negative side (demons) and sometimes when this happens, we tend to lose control and we tend to hurt people around us, the ones we love. You wanted to keep them because they are the only ones that keep you whole and sane but you also wanted them to leave you, not because you don't love them anymore, but because you love them too much and you don't want to cause them hurt/harm.

Also, it talks about our conscience, that after all that we did during our time of weakness - our conscience call and make us regret all those that we did wrong. We don't want to tell our loved ones what we did wrong but because of our love for them, there's a need for us to let them know what we did - we just all have weaknesses, and because of this we made mistakes.
