Gift Selections to your Girl Friend

If your friend is a bit of an OC and like everything planned or written down, then planner will be a great gift for her.

And there's the DYL Hybrids, which is a mixture of both. In order for you to know which will most fit you or your friend, you can take their survey. You can visit their website at cnsdesigns.com.ph to learn more about them and you can order there or check out their partner bookstores.

Tita Witty Planner - I've come across this planner and find it cute very interesting and entertaining. There are a lot of graphics, notes, quotes and some "Patama Lines". If you or your friend recently experienced a heartbreak, this will probably fit you because in a way it help you see things in a different light and kinda asking you to move on. Not just heartache but also other stuff that's giving you advice and making things lighter. By the way, I read an article in Rappler wherein it states that behind Tita Witty is Chinggay Nuque and Antonette Jadaone (Tonette is the director of a very popular movie in the Philippines "That Thing Called Tadhana" or the book english version "The Arrow With A Heart Pierced Through Him") - this will give you an idea how cute the planners are. You can buy this at Fully Booked.

Unsolicited Love

UNSOLICITED LOVE...

Love hurts, yes it does, specially if the person whom you give your feelings does not and don't want to even acknowledge your feelings...
Well, this is my topic because I was just with my friend earlier today and our topic of conversation is once again about her unrequited love. Their story started a few years ago when she started communicating with him thru FB, at the time she still have a boyfriend the she loves but was having some doubts because he boyfriend who's working abroad can't even find time to communicate with her. So when this guy arrived (not physically because he's also working abroad) - she can't help but compare her then boyfriend with this new guy because though both guy works outside the country, one was able to find time to communicate with her while her boyfriend can't even chat a 'hi' to her. So when this guy came in to the picture, my friend was overwhelmed with the attention but still didn't let this sway her feelings, that way after a month their friendship/communication cease and they continue on with their life.
Last quarter of that year, my friends' boyfriend arrived but did not show his face to my friend for over a week until one day he visited my friend at her work and ask if they can talk. They decided to eat at one of the fast food chain and talk. Unfortunately, her boyfriend dropped a bomb when he admitted that he have another girlfriend who he wanted to keep instead of the almost 4year relationship he had with my friend. My friend was so devastated at the time but was able to move on a bit faster because the other guy communicated with her again.
Well, they would chat for hours, send pictures back and forth while they're chatting and wouldn't stop even if they're already too sleepy to even open their eyes. Unfortunately this guy told my friend that he actually like my friends' sister. My friend was so disheartened because she's already falling for him and asked for my advice, well of course I told her that this is a very complicated problem that she just have to let go, because for me this will always be a problem between the two of them in case they're able to pass this test. Unfortunately my friend didn't heed my advice and still continue communicating with him until her feeling got too deep. The guy was able to move on and forget his feeling on my friends' sister because she just recently got married. Well, since the situation with her sister and this guy has been assuage, she thought that the guy's feelings will then be shifted to her, unfortunately that's not the case.
After a few months of their friendship and constant communication, the guy told her that he has a crush, so my friend asked - actually insisted that he tell her who is his crush. When he told her the name, my friend was so shocked because once again she was friend zoned! And this time the guy was asking - well not really asking, he was more like commanding her not to communicate with him anymore, he even asked her if she's willing to be his kept woman and to also send him some money once in a while. To the guy's credit, I think he was just testing my friend and at the same time forcing her to be turned off. The problem is, my friend is already so hook with him and can't control her feelings, she even said she's willing to be his woman on the side and send him money once in a while - she even asked how much he needs.
I was so mad at my friend for her to lower herself to him like that! No man is worth that undignified act! However much you love him, you must love yourself more than you love him. But alas, my advice fall on a deaf ear. She wouldn't listen to me, she would still chat him, if he stopped chatting her, she will incessantly chat him until he responds. Up until now she's still waiting for him to like her.
What do I need to do to force my friend to see things in a different light? Do I really have to force her to listen to me or just let her with her craziness? I pity my friend, she doesn't deserve to be treated like this and I hated that guy who can't even just avoid her incessant chats. The problem with that guys is he's holding my friend on a string, when my friend would stop chatting him for almost a week, what he'll do is chat my friend and have her dangle again, but after a few days, he will once again disengage himself from her by ignoring her chats. I hate that guy!!!

Travel: El Nido/Puerto Princesa

EL NIDO/PUERTO PRINCESA

From Manila Airport to Puerto Princesa airport is 1hr flight
Then from Puerto Princes going to El Nido is about 5-6hrs Van (land) travel passing by on a very curvy road.

1st Day EL NIDO: Island Hopping
There are 4 set of tours you can choose from; Tour A, Tour B, Tour C and Tour D. We were supposed to take Tour C (we like it because of the Helicopter Island), however if the weather is not good, they wouldn't allow you push through with it - something that happened to us... A bit disappointing but we still enjoyed it by availing 2 of the remaining 3 set of tours available (A and B).

Take Note: It's better to have a single tour per day, don't believe travel agencies/person assisting you if they said that it's better to have 2 set of tours in 1 day - they did this to us and we really regret listening to them, because in the end we are being hurried on each island and also missed a few islands because it was already too late. Our fault is that we trusted them too much thinking that we were being given good advice - how wrong we are!

Tour A:

Big Lagoon (The boat will just circle around the area wherein you can take pictures and pose in the boat with the bog lagoon as your background - really good for making your primary pictures - better to be on the edge on the boat to have your pictures taken - pose like Jack and Rose of Titanic if you want).

Small Lagoon (We rented a kayak - P400/each kayak and 2 person can ride a kayak so P200/each. You will pass by a small entrance - in between 2 big rocks - then continue to kayak where you will have breath taking background).

Simizu Island (This is where we eat, while the manongs - boat drivers - prepare our lunch, we went snorkeling and was able to enjoy looking a small fish that circle around our legs. The food prepared by the manongs really tasted good and was plated nicely - this lunch is inclusive of the package/tour you availed).

7 Commandos Beach (This is the island that I enjoyed most because I was able to swim here because there's a part of the beach that was designated for swimming only, therefore the wave is not that strong and the boats are not allowed to park here. There's also coconut store wherein you can drink it on the coconut directly, there are swings you can ride and rest and just really enjoy the place and the scenery).

Tour B:

Snake Island (There's a snake-like sandbar wherein if it's low tide it will be nice to cross, but either way you can still cross it since it's just waist high water. Then there's the part of the island wherein you have to hike up a bit, once on top you'll see the snake island sandbar view, breathtakingly beautiful - take pictures and make the snake island your background - it's really nice).

Cudugnon Cave (This cave have a small entrance where in you really have to bend to be able to go inside the cave, once inside there's a narrow entrance on the left side where you have to make sure you're careful with you footing because it's a bit steep, not really high but steep. Then once you climb up there you'll be able to take pictures, it will be best if your camera is good since there's not much light inside - and take as much picture as you want. This I just a really small cave, like a room-wide cave).

Cathedral Cave (The parts of Cathedral cave doesn't have good weather, it will just suddenly rain - strong one - wherein you won't be able to see much and would be able to enter the cave, therefore, we only circle around the place and we think we may have missed some fun looking inside).

2nd Day EL NIDO: Nacpan Beach
- Going to Nacpan Beach from main El Nido will take more or less 2hrs tricycle ride - normally the fare cost P1500 but we were able to find a kuya that gave us a price of P1200 (but in the end we paid P1300 - P100 tip given), the reason is, we actually pity kuyang driver because half od the road going there is a very very very rough road. We were also told that if we want, half way going to Nacpan, we can also pass by and try the falls (the problem was, it will take more or less 1hr hike - and we need to be back to main El Nido before 4pm because we will return to Puerto Princesa that night).
Nacpac beach is breathtaking, you can play beach volleyball, you can also walk a few minutes and hike a little bit to see the twin beach that is oh so beautiful. There's also a part there where there's like a ruin boat bridge where you can take pictures and enjoy the waves. And speaking of waves, it was so fun swimming here even with those huge waves because there are very few people here, actually most of who you'll see here are foreigners...

3rd Day Puerto Princesa: Underground River
- It was fun, boat tour guides are funny and they have a lot of stories regarding the rock formations. They are very much knowledgeable of their craft and can answer all your possible question.
- Note: You have to book your Underground River tour ahead of time, they may not be able to accommodate you if you'll make the booking the same day because there are a lot of tourist visiting there and most of the trips are already fully booked. We made our booking at least more than q week before our scheduled trip.
